At my workbench in the Metal Studio at the JamFactory, 2006-2008.
In 2006 I graduated from Tafe SA Adelaide Centre for the Arts with a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Applied Design, specialising in jewellery. I was then accepted into a two-year position in the Metal Studio at the JamFactory working under Creative Director Sue Lorraine. In 2008 I received a two-month residency from the Helpmann Academy based at The Sculpture Factory in Jingdezhen, China. In 2008 my position ended and I stayed on in a shared studio as a tenant at the JamFactory. In 2010 I decided to move away from the JamFactory and ...
...the beginning of 2010 I joined Gray Street Workshop, I work here along side 8 other jewellers.
I now work from Gray Street Workshop in Adelaide's CBD. A total of seven jewellers share this space with a gallery at the front. The gallery and retail space stocks work from each of the jewellers who work in the studio behind, with each of us holding a solo show in the gallery.
'Established in 1985, Gray Street Workshop is a collectively run studio and access facility for artists working in the field of contemporary jewellery and object making. The uncompromising commitment of this group of artists to their work and to a studio-based practice has enabled Gray Street to evolve into one of Australia's most exciting and respected workshops.'

ARTIST STATEMENT
I have always been interested in creating. I must create to be me.
Ever since I discovered titanium and its reactive properties, I have been in awe. The way it colours instantly through anodising still amazes me. It dominates my practice now; almost every piece I create has at least some part, titanium.
It offers many challengers and has many unique characteristics that make it so fascinating. I find pleasure in working through these limitations and creating simple pieces that fit together with good design. A certain element of design is needed in order to work the material and place connections in the right location. Being highly motivated be design this material and way of working just seems to suit.
I also find design through experience. Forms that I see in day-to-day activities, buildings or travel. Things that I find inspirational, inspire me.
